1. Intro
Hey everyone, I'm SamoaChewyCookie, playing over on Server 1.
I'm pretty serious about Boss Minion Equipment. I built the full 4-piece Legendary set, and now I've pushed one weapon into Mythical. That alone felt like about a 10% stat boost, so this isn't just quietly important — it's genuinely important content. It's also the kind of content that melts your resources if you upgrade without a plan, though, so let me share the order I worked out along the way.
2. The basics, real quick
Boss Minion Equipment moves up in tiers: Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythical.
There are 4 pieces, and each one raises different stats.
- Weapon: Guardian ATK + E.Def (+Soldier ATK)
- Gloves: Guardian DEF + ATK (+Soldier DEF)
- Armor: Guardian HP + DEF (+Soldier HP)
- Boots: Guardian E.Def + HP (+Soldier E.Def)
Match 2 pieces at the same tier and DEF and E.Def go up; match 4 pieces and HP and ATK go up — 1% each, and the higher the tier, the bigger the boost.
Enhancing takes three kinds of resources.
- Battle Scroll: the enhancement EXP resource. From Uncommon through Epic, this is all you need
- Boss Upgrade Catalyst: from Legendary onward, enhancing consumes catalysts too
- Boss Upgrade Blueprint: needed when you promote to Mythical
3. Enhancement order — going all-in on the weapon is the answer
In this game, going all-in beats spreading things out for pretty much everything, and Boss Equipment especially. Push one piece until you feel like you've hit a wall, then slowly work on the rest.
The order is simple: weapon to +40 → tier promotion → back to the weapon. Up through Epic, Battle Scrolls alone carry you smoothly, but from Legendary every enhancement starts eating catalysts, and promoting to Mythical needs blueprints on top. Honestly, the real game starts at Legendary.

My account is exactly this strategy in action. The weapon has entered Mythical, and the other 3 pieces are resting at Legendary +1 to +3 for now. In Combat Power terms, one Mythical weapon is worth two Legendary pieces.
Brace yourself for the catalyst costs though. Legendary starts at 10 catalysts per enhancement, but it keeps climbing — up to 17 or so I think — and Mythical takes 50 from the very first enhancement. Blueprints went in when I first promoted from Legendary +40 to Mythical; whether you need more after that, I honestly don't know yet since I haven't been there. Anyway, my current situation is over 30 million Battle Scrolls stockpiled but no catalysts, so I can't even press the enhance button — the real bottleneck of this content isn't scrolls, it's catalysts.
4. Bonuses that kick in from Legendary
From Legendary onward, every enhancement raises Soldier stats (ATK, DEF, E.Def, HP) on top of your Guardian stats.
And when you promote to Mythical, each piece gains a bonus stat — for the weapon, that's Guardian ATK +%. I'd say this is the real reward of tier promotion.

Also, getting all 4 pieces to Legendary gives your Boss Minion the 'Shadow Storm' skill. Every 15 seconds it hits all enemies with 620% Physical Damage, 620% Elemental Damage, and 1% of Max HP as damage, all at once. Completing the set feels so good.
5. Resource farming routine
Battle Scrolls — farm them weekly from the 'Minion Drills' event. The higher your Life Tree level, the more you can earn per week. Points stack up when your Minions die, get injured, or get dismissed, so in the end it's a battle of how many Soldiers you burn through. Three easy ways to fill it up:
- Fight other players on Saturday
- Team up with players from another guild and fill each other's points
- Throw everything at the Spiky Fortress
Boss Upgrade Catalyst — 10 per week from the Guild Shop is your baseline, and they also show up in the Arena Shop, FlaFla Roulette, and irregular events like the Spring Festival. The VIP Shop (10 per week for 500 Diamonds) and the Honor Shop (10 per month) carry them too, but I don't recommend those. Always check event shops for catalysts first.
Boss Upgrade Blueprint — the FlaFla event.
6. Let's talk spending
Honestly, getting this far did cost me quite a bit. (money money money...) If you're F2P or a light spender, set your goal at the full Legendary set, and make faithfully grabbing those 10 weekly catalysts from the Guild Shop your fundamentals. It's not too late to think about Mythical slowly after that.
Good luck to everyone on the road to Mythical! (bows)
